How Does Intel® Identity Protection Technology Work?

  • Intel IPT with one-time password (OTP): protects network and web site access points by providing enterprises with several ways to validate that a legitimate user is logging in from a trusted platform. 
  • Intel IPT with public key infrastructure (PKI): provides access point protection employs public key infrastructure (PKI). Enterprises already using PKI to protect their access points can further benefit from Intel IPT with PKI. 
  • Protected transaction display: secure input window that allows users to enter data by means of mouse clicks instead of keystrokes. 
  • Intel IPT with near field communication (NFC): creates a two-factor authentication between an Ultrabook™ and an NFC-enabled credit or identity card.


How to install the Current Version Plugin Intel® Identity Protection Technology?


In order to install this plugin is simply, you just need to download and install the latest version Intel IPT on your computer. Here quick instruction how to install Intel IPT:

  • Go to Intel IPT web page at http://downloadmirror.intel.com/20135/eng/1.2.28IntelIPTinstaller.zip to download the installer file
  • Once downloaded, double click installer file to start installation
  • Wait until installation complete
  • Restart your computer, after restarted you will get this plugin added in your Firefox browser.


If you want to remove the plugin, you just need to uninstall Intel IPT software from your computer. Go to control panel->Select Intel IPT program-> Click Uninstall a Program.
