QuickTime plugin is an application created by Apple Inc which allows user to play high quality video within web browser.

How to install the Current Version Plugin QuickTime?


In order to install the current version plugin QuickTime is simply, just install QuickTime application on your computer and this plugin will automatically installed in your web browser. Follow the instruction below for installation:

- Go to the Apple QuickTime download webpage at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
- Download the QuickTime installer file to your computer
- After downloaded double click installer file to start the installation
- Restart your web browser

When QuickTime already installed in your computer, browser plugin is enabled by default and should work in Firefox. If this plugin is not enabled you can manually enable it in add-ons manager.
Configure QuickTime Plugin

QuickTime will play all media format in Firefox, so you can configure what specify the media formats you want QuickTime to play in Firefox. 
  • Open QuickTime
  • Go to Edit >> QuickTime Preferences >>MIME Setting
  • Select media format what you want play with QuickTime. Recomended MIME setting for audio (AIFF audi, uLaw/AU audi, MIDI, WAVE audio, MP3) and for video (MPEG medi, MPEG audi, MPEG-4 media)
  • Done
