Current Version Plugin PDF Xchange Viewer

The current version plugin (PDF XChange viewer) enables you to view and edit PDF files from within Internet Explorer or Firefox.

Applies to: Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer.

Supported OS: Windows.

Current Version Plugin PDF Xchange ViewerThe PDF-XChange Viewer is a perfect substitute to the Adobe Reader – and it’s available in free and paid mode. You can edit and view any PDF file in the Viewer and from within a browser too with the current version of the PDF Xchange plugin. You can even fill PDF forms, edit OCR based image files, and extract text from the file with the Viewer.

On clicking on a link that opens a PDF in the browser, the file opens in the desktop Viewer or the browser based on the settings on your browser and Viewer. For in-browser viewing, do the following:
  • In the PDF-XChange Viewer go to the Menu > Edit > Preferences > File Associations –> Select the option Display in Browser.
  • Open the browser menu, go to Tools > Options > Applications > Scroll to the content type row for Adobe Acrobat Document > Change the Action to Use PDF-Exchange Viewer.

Install/Upgrade info: The current version of the plugin PDF-Xchange viewer is installed with the desktop application. It does not collect data or harm your computer in any way. However, if you wish you can disable it from the plugins list on Firefox or IE. However, some browser related features of PDF Viewer may not work.
