The Microsoft SharePoint plugin works perfectly with IE 7 and higher but has many issues with Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. While the easiest solution for these issues is to stick with IE, you can try the many workarounds provided by Microsoft to tackle them. The plugin also has issues with 64-bit Windows version, offering only limited support for SharePoint features.
